
Ryan Kelly is a fee-only Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) who specializes in providing as-needed advice and financial planning services for do-it-yourself investors.
From 2008 to 2018, Ryan worked as an investment analyst and chief operations officer at Evergreen Capital Management, a boutique investment firm serving a small group of high-net-worth clients. During his tenure, the firm grew to over $105 million in assets under management.
Since 2019, Ryan has focused on helping DIY investors through project-based financial planning and investment guidance. His firm, RFK Capital Management, has completed projects for over 400 clients across 45 states.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys hiking and skiing in the nearby Wasatch Mountains and is an avid golfer. He also coaches his son’s Little League baseball team.
Ryan has a deep interest in World War II history and research. His efforts to uncover and preserve the story of his great-uncle, a WWII fighter-bomber pilot, were featured in the Deseret News. He also loves U.S. history and once gave tours of the U.S. Capitol during a college semester in Washington, D.C.
He graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University in 2008 and later earned a financial planning certificate from Boston University. He has passed the FINRA Series 65 exam and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. He has for many years been an avid reader of personal finance and investing books. Ryan and his wife, Paige, have two children and reside in Sandy, Utah.
